Lethal Force. Learning the Rules of Engagement!
It was a cold October 2019. Our first visit to Rochester, Indiana. Deb and I attended a MAG40 class taught by the man himself, Mr. Massad Ayoob! The class was developed for the armed, law-abiding citizen defender. The classroom content was focused on the legal issues relative to the use of force, especially lethal force. Range time was held at the Sand Burr Shooting Range.
In The Classroom.
The use of lethal force in defense of self or others is a complex topic. Civilian citizen defenders must understand where the line in the sand is drawn. Mas, as he prefers to be called, provides a clear path to understanding where that line is!
“Emphasizing legal issues, tactical issues, and aftermath management”, there is no substitute for participating in the MAG40 class! Should a question arise, Mas provides a clear, detailed answer to ensure that you understand the content being discussed. You will leave the classroom comfortable that you understand what may follow, should you cross that line.
At the Range!
Every class day ends with time on the range. Included in the MAG40, 20-hours of range time! We were ready to shoot on Day 1!
The defensive use of a handgun is the focus. Range training is based on a police-style qualification course and is a standard for the Lethal Force Institute. Stages were adopted and extrapolated from the NRA Police Service, FBI PPC, and New England Police Regional qualifications courses. Mas covers the gamut of skills you’ll need to develop! There is so much shooting going on, we barely notice the cold weather! Who says you won’t sweat when it’s 45-degrees outside!
Training never ends!
As NRA and USCCA certified instructors, Deb and I are obligated to provide the best course of instruction to our students. To accomplish that, we must constantly develop our skills in the classroom and on the range. We just decided to have a great time as we train to be trainers!
Come train with us! Let’s start your journey together!
